Ft Lauderdale beach had long been famous for the premiere destination for college spring breakers from around the world. In 1986, the city decided to change its image and voted for a $47M+ makeover. Part of this make over included the construction of the now iconic 2 mile long “wavewall.” It gently flows in and out of the beach as it makes it path north and south through the middle of the beach action. The beach is dotted with unique lifeguard stations and lined with incredible flowing palm trees. Even after the beach area renovations there are a few things that remain the same…over 7 miles of gorgeous sand, incredible blue waters and plenty of bikinis as far as the eye can see.
As a long-time Floridian, the multiple days of non-stop rain can bring you down. This image is to brighten the day and remind us that the sun will come out again.
